In 2005, I developed a PHP/MySQL web application to manage volunteer signups for Renn Fayre, the annual year-end festival at Reed College. What had previously been a single static Dreamweaver page managed by an overworked webmaster became a rich, interactive, dynamic site including a web-based administration panel for coordinators to manage volunteer contact and scheduling information.
The design I created for the site was meant to build excitement for the highly anticipated event, with a style evocative of film and concert poster art. The event's theme was "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars."
